The Bimu Table Lamp has been designed on the occasion of a workshop with the Japanese label Ishinomaki Laboratory in 2015.
Working almost exclusively with the seven standard cedar profiles available at the local hardware store, the label describes itself as « the world’s first DIY label”, taking its roots from the famous project Autoprogettazione by Enzo Mari.
Bimu uses only one profile size in combination with a thick cord and E27 bulb becoming important design features.
In a visual play, the cord becomes a handle, giving the object a visual twist.

Other pieces coming from the same principle have been produced in 2018.
